Juniperus chinensis itoigawa I-8227

A sublime specimen of itoigawa, with a rich history as a bonsai: acquired as juniperus phoenicea by Laos Garden from the Luis Vallejo Bonsai Museum almost 20 years ago, grafted onto itoigawa more than 10 years ago by Marcio Meruje, and finally designed by Pablo Comesaña. It is now in its final stage of training, with a possible repotting to a custom-made kurama or another exceptional pot. An incredible piece.

Note: a small section of wood (see detailed photo) is an addition, which will soon be imperceptible.
