Olea europaea sylvestris...
Evergreen bonsais are those that you will see all year round with leaves. When autumn comes, it will not lose all of them, only a part of its foliage dies each year, the youngest shoots survive to join the new leaves that appear in spring, this way the crown will never be bare.
Many of them are appreciated for their incredible flowering, like for example the numerous varieties of Azalea japonica that we bring every year from Japan, their flowers can be red, purple, pink or white, even mixed colours in the same bonsai.
In Laos Garden you can also find our star perennial: the olive tree (olea europaea). Young specimens to start working with and incredible old olive trees (wild olive trees) with dead wood that remind us of sculptures.
Another perennial that you can find in our garden is the quercus suber, commonly known as cork oak, some bonsais of this species are so old that their bark has already produced that fantastic cork that makes them famous.
