An elegant circular bonsai pot featuring an open rim and delicate cloud-shaped feet. It is crafted from sango-dei clay by the prestigious Izumi-Ya kiln in Tokoname and attributed to the late artist known in Europe as Zenigo.
Izumi-Ya is one of the oldest kilns in Japan, they make bonsai pots in Tokoname from Matsushita Masuhisa, father of Matsushita Masuo (Zeo), they produced pots by hand. The term Zenigo is possibly a bad transcription being more correct Senshirinsei, although in Europe the use of the name Zenigo was generalized. Repaired with metallic paint imitating Kintsugi (gold).
