Bonsai pot JTA8844 TOZUI GAMA

Tozui Gama (陶瑞窯) is a Japanese bonsai pot kiln about which very little documentation survives. The term gama (窯) means "kiln" or "ceramic workshop," so Tozui Gama should be understood literally as "Tozui Kiln" and not as a geographical location. It should not be confused with Tosui (陶翠窯), the well-known Seto kiln specializing in glazed and decorated pots, widely represented in the Western market. Although both names have a similar pronunciation, the characters used are different and they correspond to different workshops.
