Satomi Kato is a Japanese ceramicist from Seto Prefecture (Aichi Prefecture) and a second-generation artist from the renowned Terahata kiln, founded by her father, Mazan Kato (Mayama Mazan). Her work maintains the Seto ceramic tradition applied to bonsai pots, with pieces characterized by balanced lines, understated glazes, and a keen attention to harmony with the tree.
