Bonsai pot NAU420 KAMEREON
A faithful reproduction of one of the most emblematic works by Okumura Masanobu (1686–1764), a prominent Japanese printmaker and publisher of the Edo period, considered one of the pioneers of ukiyo-e and of numerous technical innovations in the art of printmaking. His production of shunga, refined erotic prints of great artistic quality, contributed decisively to the consolidation and dissemination of this genre in Japan during his time. This piece has been entirely hand-modeled and painted by Kamereonpots. It is presented in a mokubako (wooden box) measuring 19 × 15 × 8 cm and is accompanied by a furoshiki, the traditional Japanese cloth used to wrap and carry valuable objects.

Kamereonpots is the creative partnership of Nuria Rodríguez and Tony Amago. Graduates in Fine Arts from Madrid, they have spent over three decades building a shared career in painting, drawing, and illustration. In recent years, they have focused part of their work on creating artisanal, collectible planters conceived as unique artistic pieces. In this limited series, they present faithful reinterpretations of *shunga*—the renowned genre of erotic prints and paintings from Japan’s Edo period and earlier eras. Beyond its erotic nature, this genre serves as a valuable cultural record, reflecting the customs, humor, social relationships, and various aspects of daily life of the time.
