Bonsai pot JTA6169 GYOZAN YUKIZOU

An elegant rectangular bonsai pot, or choho-bachi, faithfully evoking the classic forms of ancient kowatari. Handmade by Yukizou Nakano, Gyozan, Tokoname. Crafted from Akebono clay in one of its darkest shades, it boasts a rich chromatic depth and underscores its refined, timeless presence. It features a gaku-iri or gaku-men style frame. The term gaku refers to the "frame" visible on the body of the piece, while iri means "interior," creating an elegant framed effect that adds depth and distinction to the design. Sealed.
