Unglazed bonsai pot, made of grayish paste. Made by Watanabe Kakuyuki, from the Kakuzan kiln in Tokoname. Tiny crack in one of the corners of the lip.

Watanabe Kakuyuki, the author's real name, is the fourth generation of Kakuzan and the first to dedicate himself exclusively to bonsai ceramics. Kakuyuki was born in 1949 (Showa 24). He is listed as a master ceramicist by the Tokoname local government. His father, Yukio, a third-generation Kakuzan, was his teacher, and today Kakuyuki is training his son, Koho.
