Elegant cloud-footed bonsai pot by the late Tokoname author Itsuo Takeuchi. Eiraku
A kiln named Eiraku, like the ancient coins issued during the reign of the third Ming Dynasty emperor, Yongle (1402–1424). These coins were exported in large quantities to Japan during the Muromachi period, and circulated de facto during the Edo period, popularizing the name. The creator of this Tokoname ceramic workshop, now in its extinction, is Itsuo Takeuchi.
