Artisanal organic fertiliser
It is a solid, organic, slow-release fertiliser that is not pre-fermented, a process it must undergo once you have placed it in the pot.
It is a source of nutrients that can be used by bonsai trees after the organic matter it is composed of has been broken down by microorganisms, for which you need to keep it constantly moist. If moss baskets are used to help this process, they must be without spikes and placed upside down so that the tamahi ball is in direct contact with the soil.
Its composition is nitrogen 5.3, phosphorus 4, potassium 1.
During use and storage, the surface of the tamahi may turn white due to the action of the bacteria in the fertiliser. If this happens, there is no problem in using it.
