Elegant unglazed bonsai pot. Delicate legs and concave edges lend the piece lightness and balance. Handmade by the renowned artist Bigei, Tokoname. Minor repair on the inner rim with metallic paint in the kintsugi style (gold).

His real name is Hirata Suzuyoshi. . He was born on September 25, 1939. He learned ceramics in a self-taught way. From Showa 33 (1958) he began modeling at around 19 years of age. He established his own kiln in 1975, in Tokoname.
