Classic bonsai pot, decorated with the technique known as "worm-eaten". Very good patina. Made by Yoshimura Kataoka at the Yoshimura Toen (Shuuhou) kiln in Tokoname.

Yoshimura Kataoka is the first generation of the Yoshimura Toen kiln, known as Shuuhou. He is the first generation of this kiln dedicated to bonsai ceramics. His real name is Kataoka Shin. He was awarded the title of "Master" of ceramics in Tokoname, a title later bestowed upon his son Yoshimura Shuuhou and finally his grandson Hidemi Kataoka in 2005.
